Creaciones Patto

Patricia makes floral and balloon arrangements to order in Denton. She needed a site that shows her work with real prices, takes detailed order requests, and reads naturally for both her English- and Spanish-speaking customers. I designed it, built it by hand, and maintain it.

Highlights

What I built

01

Fully bilingual, always in sync

Every page exists in English and Spanish. The Spanish version at /es/ is generated from the English page by a build script on every deploy, so the two never drift apart, and Google indexes each language as its own page.

02

A gallery that answers “how much?”

The gallery filters by category. Tapping a photo opens a popup with color-option swatches, and each option can carry its own price and notes. Every item shows a price or “price by quote,” so nobody has to guess.

03

Order requests with photos and inspiration

The form asks for the occasion, date, time, and colors. Customers can attach up to three of their own photos, which are resized in the browser before sending, or pick gallery photos as “inspiration.” Each request reaches Patricia by email with a calendar invite (.ics) for the date.

04

Private, first-party analytics

Instead of a third-party tracker, the site reports to a collector I wrote on Netlify Functions, with data stored in Netlify Blobs. A private dashboard shows daily visits, which photos were opened, where visitors came from, and what they clicked. The data stays with the business, not an ad network.

05

Security pass

Before launch I did a security pass: API keys and other secrets live only in environment variables, forms use a honeypot field to catch spam bots, the server sends security headers, project files aren’t publicly reachable, and every uploaded photo is checked by its actual contents, not just its file name, before it’s attached.

06

Seasonal promotions

Campaigns drop in without a redesign. For Halloween 2026 the site got its own flyer, a Halloween gallery category, and a promo strip on the homepage.

Built to be found in Denton

Every page has a title and description written for local searches, like “Balloon Towers & Flower Bouquets in Denton, TX.” The sitemap pairs the English and Spanish pages with hreflang tags, so Google shows each person the right language. Sharing the site on Facebook or in other apps shows a custom preview image, and gallery photos have descriptive alt text. The site is set up in Google Search Console to track how it shows up in search, with a Google Business Profile coming next.
